My First Pocket Pages

Well I have got on the bandwagon....the Pocket page one that is.

Here is my very first Pocket page layout.

It took me just as long as a regular layout but I'm certain when I try again it will be quicker
and I love that I can use multiple photos.

Birthday Memories from 2012
Emma at 7 and Austin at 4

As my grandchildren birthdays are 5 days apart, a joint family birthday party was held at home...
with lots of laughs, presents, cake  and smiles.

True Colours Challenge

I am carrying a flag at the Olympics in London 2012, a flag of my ancestors that is.

The challenge is to make a project of your country's flag but I have done a few pages of Canada's flag colours recently and since my dh is of Polish descent I thought I would do that flag.... but oh no  the Poland  flag is red and white too. So I went to my ancestors.... to Belgium. Here's my tribute to my great grandparents and to Belgium.

My Great Grandparents were born 16 days apart in 1868, married in 1888, raised 7 children and  lived their whole life in the same town in Belgium. They died in the same year in 1955 a few months apart. Now that is togetherness!

Jerome and Stephanie Casier

Check out the challenge here at Two Scrapbook Friends:

Belgium so far at Day 8 at the Olympics have a silver and bronze medal for Judo and Shooting. Hopefully the Borlee brothers will bring some more medals in Track today and tomorrow.!

Christmas Concert

Two Page Sketch 24 Jan 9 2012 from Sketch Support was my inspiration for my double page layout.
I left off the top striped strip due to the different sizes of my photos. My title follows an imaginery line and I moved the main journal box over to left side.
It includes Little Yellow Bicycle  papers, American Crafts Thickers and some miscellaneous ornament stickers. Ek Success punch for journalling cards.

Austin is watching closely for when he goes to school, next year.

A Scrapbooking Weekend

This is one of the pages I did on Saturday with Simple Stories collection . I do love Simple Stories! Leaves are cut with Silhouette and tag cut with Cricut. I spend the weekend scrapbooking. Saturday was at Two Scrapbook Friends in Waterloo.at a 10 hour crop with Carolyn showing us some CHA new products and giving some away. I won some of the American Crafts Amy Tangerine collection and some BoBunny Welcome Home and BoBunny stamps. A great haul. Thanks ladies. Had a great time with a wonderful bunch of ladies including my sister.
On Sunday, I went to Scrapping Turtle for their Open house and one year anniversary for their new store. Karen from Your Next Stamp was at the store demo'ing her new Die that matches her stamp. Great idea. Here's my make 'n takes from Sunday. The Christmas card is using Karen's new die and stamp.Karen used the Sizzix Big Shot for her die cuts. The flower card was designed by Noel ( I believe) using the Grand Cailber die cut machine and the journal cover called "inspired" using AC Amy Tangerine collection by another Turtle designer. (sorry I did not get her name) using the revolution die cut machine and i-rock on the rhinestones over the "i" .in inspired. (Click on photo to make larger to see details.) Another fun day, and a great way to spend the weekend !
